The Campfire Project was a group for men, well actually there were a few wonderful female friends who joined us in the early days. They had the opportunity to listen to the men who had the courage and strength to share their stories. They listened to the stories with respect and wanted to join the campfire chats
The first Campfire Chat with one of those female member, Karen Chaston in March last year. Heather Joy Bassett was the second woman to join me by the fire. In a recent Panel discussion she shared this with me.
Again, this isn’t about me. It’s about our need to be part of a community. A community where men and women come together to create a strong village through having respectful, magical discussions. For people to get as much from being part of The Campfire Project and #WeTogether only happens because of the men and women there who have shared their vulnerability and wisdom.
Many have referred to the group as my tribe. It might have been when I first started it, but is definitely now our community. Thank you for being who you each are.
And I’d like to invite men and women who want to be part of a community to come over and check it out and join us at https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheCampfireProject/
My BHUG for 2020 is to grow the group to 2020 members
