The hallmark of successful kids is strong Executive Function skills, which help them excel in life by equipping them with a curious-to-learn attitude, a learner-explorer mindset, goal-focused behaviors, and complete independence in problem-solving. But transitions can pose an especially difficult challenge, and few more so than the back-to-school transition. Kids need ample support to overcome the barriers that arise as they prepare to return to school, and mastery of Executive Function is the way to get there.

In this webinar for educators and parents, Sucheta will discuss four factors that impede a child’s ability to transition readily, and will subsequently teach relevant strategies for how to form useful learning goals and engineer solutions to their own challenges. Sucheta will share how becoming a self-sufficient student is a trainable skill and every developing brain needs guidance from teachers and parents to use effective methods that shape their success in school.

This webinar will answer the following important questions:
• What’s the connection between Executive Function abilities, motivation, and self-sufficiency in school-age children?
• Why are transitions, including going to back to school, so hard on the brain?
• How can we help our kids achieve school success?

Learning objectives:
• Hone five easy once-a-day habits that promote mastery of Executive Function
• Design home and classroom environments that help kids overcome boredom, confusion, and processing problems
• Ignite interest with curiosity castles of inquiry in any learning situation
• Help kids devise hacks and develop habits to conquer challenging subjects
• Learn how to use transition tunnels to facilitate help-seeking behaviors
