Explosions In Kyiv, 9 Drones Downed l Russia Intercepts HIMARS Rockets l Germany’s Ceasefire Warning

Ukraine said that it shot down nine Russian Kamikaze drones in Kyiv overnight on December 19. Ukraine said that Russian forces damaged critical infrastructure in Kyiv using the Kamikaze drones. Ukraine said its forces shot down ten Shahed-136 kamikaze drones in the southern direction. A Russian official admitted that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s military is “playing catch up” against Ukraine. Germany said a potential cease-fire in Ukraine isn’t on the horizon and warned against a deal that leans too heavily toward Russian demands. Russian real estate tycoon Dmitry Zelenov died on December 9 in the French Riviera town of Antibes. The UK has cast doubts over Russian military efforts to boost morale among its frontline troops by sending “creative brigades”. The UK has announced a new $304m package of military aid for Ukraine to bolster its counteroffensive against Russia. Viktor Bout, who returned to Russia from the US after a prisoner swap, took part in opening a branch of his party in Luhansk.
